Love the little one climbing the tree! I used to see sows and cubs over in Sunnyside (woods on the other side of the 104 near Springhill) all the time, but there's been a lot of logging and blueberry harvesting activity over there this year and we've only seen one sow and cub and a couple of singles. One time a couple of years ago I saw eight bears in the space of two hours over there - there was a sow with three cubs, sow with two cubs, and a big boar - and I got them on vid (except for the boar). Very nice to see! Thanks for posting Mark.

Nice pics. I saw a big fella swimming across the french river just at the edge of the village yesterday morning. Picked quite a day for a swim with the river swollen from all the rain the night before. It didn't seem to bother him though, they're crazy strong swimmers. I have to wait til November for deer season.
