Well i got these orderd up and they should be waiting for me when i get home  ... Time to ditch the old blocks  ... I'll do a little write up with pic's once i start this... ;D ;D Attachments:

This all started after our last outing when my gas tank started to leak...  Of course i was off to work the day after our ride but it gave me time to order up some new parts seeing as how i had to drop the tank anyways...  Well 8 of the first 9 bolts had to be ground or smashed off...  then i stopped counting...lol... So these are the new parts i ordered form DIY4X...  Here is a shot of what i am replacing compaired to the new one...  I know i should have pushed it outside to give her a spray before i started but i like doing things the hard way...lol...  Next was to drop the tank... it had 2 leaks in it and 1 hole i put in it trying to beat off 1 of the skid plate bolts...  Then the hanger rivits had to be ground off, this proved to be a pain in the ass...  Cleaned up and ready for some beef...  Bolted up... ;D  A shot of inside the frame...  And finally the finished product... ;D  I was expecting to gain about 1/2 an inch of lift after this but i ended up with about 1 1/2-2 inches so now i'm going to have to pick the front up a bit to match the back. I can't put my spare on and get out of the garage now which sucks but i'll live with it till i get the big door on the garage finished. I haven't really had a chance to get out and try them other than up the hill in the backyard and a short rip up the road but so far the ride seems to be better and i'm pleased with the look of them. They are definately well built, my only complaint about them was the customs charge of 100 bucks... :)free trade my ass |
