When I went looking for tires I was frustrated at the prices of 30X9.50's (as big as would fit on my ZJ with a 2" budget boost without rubbing) brand name tires. Nobody made a cheap tire or even a retread in that size so I ended up with a 31X10.50 retread made by Eastern Tire. They're called trailmasters, I'm sure everyone had seen them; they have an all-terrain style tread that is also siped on the tread blocks. They don't look like anything special but I've been impressed by how well they work in snow and also on the trail.
Best part is I got them for $113 a tire...that's a bargain.
