As many know, as of June 2009 all lifted and lowered vehicles were to lose their MVI... Well the NS Jeep Club went to work fighting the lift laws and the Gov't dept. decided to put a hold on it till they could raise some statistics and do some studies... Well here we are a year and a half later and the Gov't has finally released their "discussion papers" for the public to review before they start meetings with all parties involved, several Gov't departments, stakeholders (NSJC, and any other groups that oppose the bill, owners of lifted and lowered vehicles, etc...) Please take the time to read the "discussion papers", and then it will be up to us to write letters, call MP's, etc... I will try to post who, what, where and when, when I know more, possibly after the meetings. I posted this on a few other us based websites , John also posted along with my post on Pirate .
:)I am astonished that the majority of the guys on there that always know everything about everything have not posted ........2 days and Nothing ...... must be the first time they never opened their mouths.
I may move it out of the canada section just to get a reaction ...probably get booted but oh well

It is really not looking good, our lifted Jeeps/trucks could be off the road by the end of the year!  Here is a very important survey that everyone should fill out... surveys.gov.ns.ca/TakeSurvey.aspx?PageNumber=1&SurveyID=96KInp21I know there are some of you out there that really don't give a shit because you now trailer your rigs, just remember a few years ago when you used to drive your lifted rig on the road and how it would have effected you...In fact if you aren't in favour of helping us than essentially you are against us. It is part of our hobby and we need all the help we can get. Please don't let "the man" control our lives like they do, the fuckers steal our money to buy themselves TV's, computers and shit, take nice extravagant trips around the world at YOUR expense. Well put Jeff , when i filled it out i filled in every spot with a different reason as to not have any lifted truck regulations different from what we have now.

filled in that survey. i find it a tad bit ridiculous  that they would waste so much of "our" tax money on a non-issue like this. I would like to know what they are basing their information on.  |

Jeff I also don't believe this should be about the N.S.J.C. , from a post on the jeep site i got the feeling it was but hoped i was wrong. (Pm'd Pirate about it ) Tried to and asked about getting other's contacted and was told different. Today i am told that at club coffee night pres was asked and said they won't be getting other's not in the N.S.J.C. involved . WTF  quoted from a pm to me . --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Said he's handling the issueas an NSJC thing. Didn't seem to think that a united front was worth anything. I guess I don't agree with that sort of attitude, as the results in this affects ALL OF US, and think that the "organized" clubs need to show a united approach to this, rather than letting egos and arrogance taking the lead. And that was the feeling I had after asking him that. Something about the NSJC Halifax chapter that I don't like is the arrogance that comes out of it. My 2 cents. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not sure what to say about this , there are many lifted truck owner's on the highway other than jeeps as well as clubs . Yeah Al, I agree that there is strength in numbers!
There are hundreds if not thousands of lifted trucks out there that don't even know that this is going on!
