We are a small group in the Cumberland/Colchester County areas, hence the name "Cumberland Off Road Enthusiasts"
We wheel when we all have the chance to get together and wheeling to us means trails that challenge our vehicles and our driving abilities.
We do cut trails back enough to avoid un-necessary scraping and dents but we are not overly fussy, our rigs weren't built to look pretty, they were more built for capability, that isn't to say we are against trying to keep your rig looking good but if you are interested in wheeling with us and don't want a scratch, let us know, bring some trail cutting tools and we will do our best to get ya through without a scratch. Do keep in mind though that some of the trails have a high potential for body damage, but a careful driver can get through without any damage, Cindy manages to run all these trails and has not put a single dent in her rig.
We have had stock vehicles out with us and we will do everything in our powers to spot your rig through the nastiest of sections and will do everything we can to get you through without damage, I stress that you please don't need to feel ashamed or embarrassed if you would like to ask for a spotter, we all enjoy helping the new comer get his feet wet and enjoy his first off-road experience.
The whole idea of wheeling is having FUN, and we do have FUN, please take into consideration that we, like all wheeling communities like to poke fun at each other, be it about your driving or the rig you drive, Jeep guys will make fun of the Chev guys, the Chev guys will make fun of the Jeep guys, etc, etc...No matter where you go in the world, the wheeling communities are all the same, and for me, I don't care what you drive, it is the hobby we share of off-roading that matters, I am not biased to what each other drives so please don't take offense if I or someone makes a wise crack about what you wheel, it is all in FUN and nothing is really meant by it. I drive a Jeep and have heard every joke poked at me about my driving, about my rig but I don't take offense, it is all part of the sport, as is the teasing that sometimes goes on between us.
What is written above was just written off the top of my head and if you see anything missing that you would like me to add or something that concerns you, feel free to question it or me, I will never take offense...This is really just a tip of the iceberg to what I want to get out there and will probably add to it when I think of it...
What it boils down to is...We are here to have FUN! Sometimes my humour can be taken as abrasive but I NEVER mean harm by it, it is only humour and if I have said anything to you or about you at any time that upsets you, please talk to me about it, I am the most easy going person you will ever meet, I will always forgive and forget and will always apologize and try to make things better if someone feels that I have crossed a line with my humour...
Cheers and happy trails!!
Jeff
