here is my latest purchase, i got it for a song.. its a 99 grand, 4.0, everything works great but it has some rust on the frame and rockers.. plans are long arms, 6" + springs, home made johnny style joints, my 33s, probably a rear locker, and eventually bigger axles..
here is roughly how it will look when its lifted
and here is the start of the long arm setup.. i put these frame boxes together this afternoon while it was on the hoist. i just have to weld up the front ones tomorow.. i can then make the arm mounts and weld them on to the boxes on the welding table.. i took a bunch of measurements so i know right where everything has to go.. the rear arms will be around 40", the fronts will be 30-32". as for the top link in the rear, i think i will stay with the 3 link but make a much longer a arm with a johnny style joint at the axle. the front i think i will do away with the upper left arm and go the 3 link rout.
