soo where does this trail start and where does it end? It starts at Folly Lake near a gravel pit that you can see from Hwy. 4. The trail from what I understand isn't that long - maybe a few kms, but it takes a long time to get through because of the obstacles, winching, etc. We came out at Trout Lake (I'll have to check on a map to see exactly where that is) then we turned around and ran it backwards which created whole new challenges. We didn't get to the trailhead until after 11am, and we got out before dark.

I'm hoping that we can get a CORE run up there before the snow flies!

I dunno...I can't remember. lol i heard she was drinking that day ...lol My memory sucks!! But I know exactly where to turn in (coming from the other direction). So I might have to pass it first before I found it, but I could find it. I think once I was in there I'd remember how to get on the trail.

I thought I'd repost the message I posted on the Jeep Board: The North Nova Chapter is hosting a trail ride in the Springhill/Amherst area this Sunday, Nov. 1. There are a few Jeeps from the NB Jeep Club that might be joining us on this run as well. There will be two meeting spots - the group from NB/Amherst will meet at the South Albion Street Tim Horton's in Amherst (Exit 4 on the 104) at 9:30. The people coming from the Truro direction will meet Jeff and I at the Springhill Tim Horton's at 9:30. We will then all meet at the trail head at 10am. We will be running the Donkey Trail. The trail is stock friendly with some possibilities of extra challenges for those that want to attempt them. There are a lot of washouts that are fun to drive in, tight technical sections, and the pole line has deep ruts and mud that will suspend stockers by their belly skids if you fall in a rut. So for this reason it is important to have solid front and rear tow points. Here are a few pics of this trail: That gives you an idea of what to expect. Hope you see you there! Cheers, Cindy
