It's even smaller than I expected. It'd be nice if it would fit in my carrier without requiring any clearancing....but being that it's Broken, I'll assume the worst and hope for the best. It easier that way. Attachments:

Stuck my new aussie in this morning. It took 3 hours and that included checking tire pressure and greasing my rear CA's. It went in super easy. I haven't got a chance to really test it because Lacey is working and I'm parenting. It says to go easy on it for a 600 mile break-in so I guess I shouldn't really test it yet anyway. But I can report that I can now climb my treacherous driveway in 2WD! Before I needed a lot of momentum and lots of wheel spin and sometimes I still didn't make it without grabbing the old t-case shifter. I think I'll be ready for a run this spring...finally!

A shot of my new OBA tank in progress. A bunch of people on the NSJC site are trying this or talking about trying it. I'm hoping it goes pretty smooth. Going to convert my A/C compressor and plumb it to this tank in the cargo area. Going to PA for some high temp pressure hose and some fittings. Got the mini compressor for free for the tank, pressure switch and gauge. I need to buy a regulator too, which was snagged off of it before I got it. Attachments:

PA has the pressure switch 80lb cut in 115 cut out for $22bucks and change they have regulators there too . I'm not planning to run a regulator as i don't think i will need to drop the pressure down for anything ........ i don't plan to use a paint gun with it .

Why wouldn't I just use the pressure switch that came on the mini compressor?
I never thought of just going without the regulator...I'll see what one is worth.
I'm thinking the most costly part of this project is gonna be the pressure hose.

Sorry , i didn't notice it had the pressure switch on it , yes use that one , thought it was robbed with the regulator. don't really need the regulator . Hose is pretty easy ,just get regular air hose that's what i am using. I have a 30' piece that i am using 1/4" repair fittings to put it together. this is my tank that's going in the back ,has the quick release and the fitting for the hose on the left and blow-off valve on the right I am mounting the pressure switch under the hood so i only have to run short wires and one hose to the rear. this is my switch set up From the right side is the tube that will go to the pump( 3/8 steel) that is hooked to the check valve then to the pressure switch. Facing out the back of the switch is another repair fitting which is for the hose going to the tank ,to the left of the switch is a quick release for hose hook up under the hood . this is my power switch ,by keeping the pressure switch under the hood i have power to the switch out to the pressure switch then to the a/c pump . with the tank in the back you will need to run power to the tank and then power from the tank back to the front under the hood to the pump . (Too much wire to short out for me ) Same for hose if you want a quick connect front and rear but the hose you can get away with one going back and use a longer one that will reach all the way around you're jeep. Either way will work ,i just chose the easier cheaper way.
