I figured it was time to start a tiny build thread. Broken is a 93 Wagoneer 5.2L that I've owned for about 2 years. When I bought Broken, I knew absolutely nothing about Jeeps, in fact it's my first 4WD. My first mods were some minor body work (haha) a 2" budget boost, reese style hitch, 31's and a 231 t-case swap (done by me including swapping the input shafts and planetary ring gear!) No pics of these, sorry folks, I just got a computer for frig sake! Next came a homemade pipe bumper built mostly by my friend. I helped plan it and mostly just grinded welds and painted it. It's pretty rugged and includes some tow hooks. Attachments:

I didn't do much with Broken then for 4 or 5 months cause it wouldn't run. I spent hours trying to figure out an intermittent no-start condition. Then took it to two private shops that both thought they had it fixed but no, it still let me down and had to be towed home. At least I found out the bumper was sturdy. Turns out a third shop found that the wires to the CPS were cross-arcing with other wires in the harness screwing up the signal to the ECM shutting off the fire. It would run fine, throw the error, and then fail to start the next time. Anyway the solution was to isolate the wires in a little 2$ piece of conduit and run them away from the rest of the harness. I drove it for the spring and summer (mostly to make sure it was going to stay running). (Jeff, you may want to look away) Then I bought this. Attachments:

I robbed pretty much all the suspension which consisted of 5.5" front coils, homegrown front LCA's, an aftermarket front track bar and modified sway bar links. Out back are factory front coils and BDS adjustable CA's. There was also a rear track bar relocation bracket that I removed and welded to my rear diff housing. I'm not running a rear sway bar and I left the 2" pucks over the rear coils. I also added new bushings for everything and everything got a little paint. Attachments:

T-case skid. I got my hands on a nifty nut-set tool to make it bolt right up. Attachments:

Here's a shot of the track bar relocation bracket on the axle. Don't look too closely at the welding...it's mine and it's not pretty. I think it'll hold fine enough though. Attachments:

So this is the new stance. It has just the right ride height. I love how it looks, and it rides really well considering. I'm impressed with how comfortable it is soaking up bumps and there is very little driveline vibe at any speed up to about 90 km/h. It corners much better than I thought it would especially with no rear track bar. Now all it needs are the rock rails still on old red, a rear locker (coming very soon), and some 33's (hint hint cindy ;D ) Attachments:

It looks good Adrian! I'm still undecided about the tires - I am going to put the TrXus back on very soon now that I have rims for them and will make a decision after a couple of snow runs with those.

It's no biggie Cindy, I'll find something. I just like KM2's and like the size. You know how to get a hold of me if/when you decide. I heard Jeff liked my driveway when you came to get the tires. ;D
Mudandmore, what were you driving when you saw me?

The ZJ looks awesome Adrian...and yes it hurts to see my ol' baby laying up like that, I miss it, especially in the winter, with a set of TrXus on her she would go anywhere in the snow.
However I do see that I forgot my ham radio license plate on her and will need to get it back at some point.
Cheers! Jeff

I noticed that a couple days after you picked up the tires. It'll be here whenever you get by this way again or if Cindy decides to sell her KM2's, I'll bring it with me.
Thanks for the compliments everybody.

A little update on Broken. I redid the rear brakes yesterday with new wheel cylinders (one leaky, one seized), lines and shoes.
And today I ordered an Aussie Locker for my rear diff! ;D
I've been wanting one since last winter when I found out how useless Broken is in 2WD and with the open rear diff. I know a lot of people say not to lock a D35, but I only have 31" tires and I'll try to go easy on the skinny while it's a DD. Besides, I got spare axle shafts now.
